Scar Resurfacing
For scars that are textured and raised, micro needling involves creating controlled micro-injuries on the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural healing response, leading to the production of collagen and elastin fibres, improving texture, appearance and tone of scars.

Scar Camouflage
Using single-use medical grade needles and EU approved tattoo inks, we implant ink into the dermal layer of skin matching its colour to the surrounding skin.
Textured or raised scars may require resurfacing sessions before camouflage in order to smooth the surface and allow the pigments to implant evenly.

Results last between 2-3 years after which top up sessions can help maintain colour.

Healing

Scar resurfacing - There is little downtime for scar resurfacing. The area will be red and inflamed immediately after. You may experience tenderness, dryness, itching, swelling, redness or tightness while the skin regenerates and heals. You should apply your after care oil or cream daily with clean hands for six weeks. To avoid infection wear loose fitting clothes and keep the area clean.

Scar camouflage - The area will be red and inflamed immediately after. It is recommended you keep the area clean and dry for 5 days to allow the pigments time to implant. So baths or careful showering after is important for best results. It is recommended to avoid direct sun exposure for a few weeks to allow proper healing. Once healed you can enjoy the sun but it is advised to protect the area with spf to prevent fading of the tattoo over time. With this in mind we recommend planning your session accordingly to suit life plans.

Due to the risk of hyperpigmentation some skin tones may not be suitable for Scar resurfacing or camouflage. We will need to assess the area to determine if you are a candidate for this treatment. A patch test must be carried out before treatment can go ahead, the price of which will be taken off the treatment if you choose to go ahead with treatment.
